Behavior Change Project Management: Assessment & Intervention to Resolve Problem Behaviors
COMING 2010

Behavior Change Project Management provides a thorough introduction to a behavior analytic approach to working through behavior change projects to resolve problem behaviors. It works through the three major elements of behavior change projects: functional assessment, construction and implementation of a behavior change program and maintaining it in the long run. Unlike as is common in medical model approaches, the behavior analytic approach is systematic and solidly science-based. It describes how to develop a contingency statement through interviewing, direct observation and functional analysis and then how to select and apply the appropriate behavior change procedures for a comprehensive behavior change program and finally how to generalize the learning to the learner's every day environment for the long term. It will not provide proprietary system or anecdotally devised approach but rather relies on the well established and highly effective and efficient natural science of behavior: applied behavior analysis.
